Eagle Express, Transportation and Logistics Providers in DFW

As transportation and logistics providers in DFW, we’re partial to transportation the gets us from point A to point B quickly. When we have urgent or other same day deliveries, speed is a necessary component. Whether it’s moving across town, throughout the state of Texas, or even on a critical distant delivery to another state, our couriers prefer the type of transportation that allows us to move expeditiously. Generally, that’s with refrigerated vans and straight trucks, ambient box trucks, or even flatbeds.

But we also know there is a time and a place to slow it down. (That place and time isn’t with Eagle Express and your STAT deliveries, but you get the point.) Transportation doesn’t always  have to move at lightning speed. Sometimes, it’s about the journey. Sometimes you have to trade in four wheels for two.

Did you know that there are over 50 bike trails to choose from in the city of Dallas alone? There are also around 107 miles of on-street bike lanes scattered throughout the Big D. This early spring weather has given us all a reason to ditch the car and head out on two wheels.

No matter what part of North Texas you live in, there are bike trails that are perfect for every level. From the just-starting-out to the semiprofessional, these are some of DFW’s favorite bike trails, as provided by our transportation and logistics providers in DFW:

Arbor Hills- Far North Texas offers this gem that has both hiking and off-road biking trails. With restrooms on site as well as water fountains, even the most unprepared biker can enjoy these trails in Plano.

Gateway Park- If you’re a glutton for punishment, you can tackle the 5 mile loop with hills. Or, if you’re just in it for the leisurely ride, go with the 3.5 mile loop that offers views of the West side of the Trinity River. All trails are paved and relatively straight, which means even a novice biker can have some fun.

Katy Trail- You know those times when you aren’t sure if you want to exercise or have a margarita? No? Just me? Well Katy Trail offers both. Begin your ride near SMU at the trail’s northernmost entrance, and ride south to the Ice House. Here you can enjoy a beverage (and so can your pup if he or she likes to jog alongside), and then hit the 3.5 mile trail back north.

White Rock Lake- This is the perfect place to take in the scenery and customize your ride to your liking. With the large, 9 plus mile loop, you can take in the entire lake, or you can cut your ride short and hit just parts of the loop for views of Downtown.

Trinity River Mountain Creek Reserve- Take in one of the first preserves in Dallas County with this paved, 4 mile trek. It also offers parking, playgrounds, and picnic areas, which means it’s fun for the whole family, even those who aren’t as solid on the bike.

Don’t forget to let courtesy drive as you ride through these trails. Many of them are shared by joggers, pedestrians, and dogs.
